MBTA passion project

Public transportation is vital to the community, and it unites people of different backgrounds. Public transportation represents accessibility which helps connect the individual (ourselves) to the larger community (us/we).
This project focuses on a series of images set in various MBTA stations. Artistically, there is an emphasis on artificial lighting, architecture, and how those two elements interact in a space. Some shots toyed with the concept on liminal spaces, “a location which is a transition between two other locations, or states of being”, while other shots focus on capturing the train stations and their essence as a whole. All images center the geometry of light and shadow and the movement created as a result.
